If you suspect serious leakage, for $100 + $60 per zone I’ll dig up every head, cap it off, and confirm water loss. Can only be scheduled on dry days, that’s how I found the leak in the related picture. No other company offers this service.
Small leaks like this require a high degree of skill and knowledge to identify and locate. That’s about a half a gallon per minute of water loss, on a zone that runs half an hour per day every other day.
